In celebration of Earth Day, which was observed on 22 April 2012, I’ve decided to list some of the stuff I’ve been able to maintain for months in an attempt to help preserve Mother Earth:
Recycling Water There was one month when I was so efficient that I had a zero water bill, i.e. my consumption was less than one cubic meter, so I wasn’t charged anything. I wasn’t able to replicate it, but I have been able to maintain a one to two cubic meters per month usage. I try to follow the two rule, wherein, whenever possible, water should be used for at least two purposes. So laundry and bath water are used for flushing the toilet, or water from rinsing dishes at the soapy stage will be saved to rinse the new dirty ones.

To raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association, the Big Bang Theory cast volunteered for a performance at A Night at Sardi’s, which is an annual event to raise funds for the organization. The complete cast sang a medley from the musical Hair, with full commitment to the flowing hair and costumes of the 60’s decade. Simon Helberg, who plays Howard Wolowitz in the hit TV show, went a step further by embodying the sexual freedom of the era by donning a body suit, complete with the proper male appendage, while gyrating to the music (see 0:22). Broadway stars Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel also joined in the fun, while TV stars Kristen Bell of Veronica Mars and Zachary Levi of Chuck also showed off their singing during the charity event.
