Taking a Crap Tricks
When I heard the maintenance person in the mall’s paid comfort room request the person inside to flush, and given the fact that I had to vacate the cubicle I was going into because of the overwhelming unpleasant smell, I realized that people are willing to pay Php 10 so that they could be assured of tissue paper while they do the act.
There are 2 tricks I’ve learned that really help to erase the evidence of one’s activities, which minimizes the embarrassment when somebody uses the facilities right after.
The Body Shop Philippines October 2006 Sale
Something happened at The Body Shop that I’ve been praying for for years. The tea tree oil products of Invigorating Body Wash and Tea Tree Oil finally went on sale last 13-15 October 2006 in all The Body Shop outlets. These particular products are so popular that The Body Shop has never included them in any of the sales they have offered for the last two years at least.
Every weekend of October there will be special sales on certain products. After the skin care products last weekend, the Bath and Body products are up next on 20-22 October 2006, and then Hair, Gifts and Accessories on 27-29 October 2006.
Chuckles — Break a Leg Origins
After the customary pep talk to my cast before the show, I said the traditional “good luck” theatre saying of Break a Leg as a means of wishing everybody well. Barely have I finished saying it when Playshop Kid Ruiz (youngest brother of Playshop Kids Marek and Enzo) proclaimed, “I know where you got Break a Leg!”
A warm feeling stole over me with the thought that such a young child is so well steeped in theatre traditions, so I inquired genially, “So from where did I get Break a Leg?”
