A total of 170 tickets will be given away for the INXS Switched On Tour in Manila ticket raffle. That’s because there will be 60 Grand Prize winners and 25 Minor Prize winners for the Araneta Coliseum concert. Each of the 60 Grand Prize winners will get 2 Upper Box A tickets worth Php 2,625 each, while each of the 25 Minor Prize winners will get 2 Upper Box B tickets worth Php 1,050 each.

When Playshop Kid Aria Clemente opened the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Preview Party 2006 by singing a part of the local children’s song “Bahay Kubo (Nipa Hut),” the audience broke into spontaneous applause, not just once, but several times.
This same reaction was echoed by Nickelodeon’s General Manager for Southeast Asia, Christopher James, who sent a SMS to Nickelodeon Philippines Marketing and Communications Manager, Ana Pulido, five minutes into the show, “I am soOOO impressed, but, more importantly, very proud.”

Loss of the Bonus Ride The first major disappointment with the G Pass system is the loss of the bonus ride. Unlike the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) stored value card that allows the commuter to use the card despite the fact that it’s less than the actual fare for the trip, e.g. Php 1 for a Php 15 ride, the G Pass does not have this feature.

In an ironic turn of events, authors Stephen King and John Irving, whose works are detailed with horror, death and the bizarre, have publicly stated that they hope JK Rowling will let Harry Potter live.
USA Today reported that John Irving said, “I have my fingers crossed for Harry,” while Stephen King declared, “I just don’t want him to go over Reichenbach Falls,” alluding to the way Sherlock Holmes, another literary character, met his untimely demise.
