The members of the Malaysian Linguistic Association are up in arms over Ron Howard’s film The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks. Declared by Ambi Mohan, president of the Malaysian Linguistic Association, “…we have decided that enough’s enough. The Da Vinci Code should be banned because we don’t want to encourage youngsters to use ‘da’ as a lazy shorthand for ‘the.’ We see this in rap lyrics.”

Summary Of Events I complained twice about a Fitness First Philippines Body Jam instructor verbally sexually harassing male clients during class. In response, said instructor was removed from the Fitness First Greenhills branch and reprimanded.
Dissatisfied, I emailed Kent Richards, the National Operations Consultant, regarding causes for dismissal, and is sexual harassment a cause for dismissal, Fitness First’s definition of sexual harassment and whether management would recognize petitions for dismissal. Mr. Richards’ reply is provided below, and my email is in direct response to his answer.

A deluge of rain, the kind that makes you wish to stay home or reluctant to get out of the car, accompanied the Trumpets Life to the Max Concert on 03 June 2006 at the AFP Theater. Crawling among the parked cars while searching for a space, I passed by a car with its headlights on.
An increase of the downpour made me stay in the car for 10 minutes, but with no hope of the torrent decreasing its intensity, I heaved a sigh and decided to go headlong into the rain, and sent a silent prayer that I fervently hoped that the car with its headlights on was in that condition because the occupants just arrived.
