Chuckles — Polvoron and Banana Chips Not Allowed in Australia

As I mentioned that Goldilocks Polvoron, a milk and sugar concoction, was easily available in Singapore via the Filipino shops in Lucky Plaza at Orchard, my friend was reminded of an incident at the Sydney Airport when she went to Australia for a month long series of lectures.

Mercury Drug Ali Mall Cashier Insensitive Comment (Ire)

I bought a pile of medicine on 15 October 2009, such as 10 boxes of one kind, 8 of another, etc. I was literally buying enough asthma and allergy medicine to last me for a year, since I was going to be out of the country for that period. I watched the Ateneo vs. La Salle round on TV last night, 09 August 2009, which was held at Araneta Coliseum, and, as always, it turned out to be a very exciting basketball game. Now, Spot.ph has taken the match to a battle of fighting words in the blogosphere by listing the Top 10 reasons why each team is better than the other.

Top 10 Reasons why Ateneo is better than La Salle

10. La Salle gets into fights with other schools and their players take cheap shots.

In this instance, after La Salle’s Rico Maierhofer commits a hard foul on University of the East’s Mark Borboran, UE’s Mark Fampulme stands up for his teammate. What escalates the situation is a bench player from DLSU, Brian Ilad, clocking Fampulme with from behind. Real classy move.
