The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Film on Jack City
Update (03 December 2012) My apologies. Jack City created the impression that it’s Rooney Mara playing Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on 02 December 2012, since it’s her images being used in the promo, as well as the CG from the opening sequence of the 2011 film.
I don’t know they didn’t capitalize on the fact that it’s the “original” Lisbeth Salander, Noomi Rapace, who headlined the film. And, I have to point out that it’s actually not The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo that was screened, but The Girl Who Played with Fire, the second film in the Millennium series.

Free cable channel Jack City is screening The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on 02 December 2012 at 9pm. If you haven’t seen it, there are several reasons why you should catch it:
Opening Credits by Blur Studio The opening video with the credits has been described poetically:
The beat sidles in: a throbbing arrhythmia peppered by desperate, howling vocals, and then that ooze. That viscid, black ooze that seeps into everything, penetrating crevices, dribbling into lips and eyes, suffocating and sensual and silent. Each ebony form is made osmotic – surging and melding, torn apart and punctured, ensnared, set ablaze – thrashing in the deep. In this elegantly violent title sequence, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Karen O’s version of “Immigrant Song” swells when coupled with Blur Studio’s monstrous fantasy in David Fincher’s newest offering, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
The Revelation That Is Rooney Mara Prior to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Rooney Mara was seen in The Social Network in an ex-girlfriend role, hardly indicative of her future performance that was to garner an Oscar Award nomination.
The Sound of Music There’s also a bit of nostalgia involved as Christopher Plummer, who played Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, essays a major character in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film, Henrik Vanger, delighting fans, such as myself, with his mere presence (the same way Julie Andrews still makes me smile).
