Finally, I caught Encantadia on the new FOX Filipino channel on 16 April 2012. There were two episodes, back to back, starting at 5.50pm.
I wanted to watch the hit GMA 7 TV series because even though I was one of the puppeteers for the character of Imaw and was present on the fantasy set of Encantadia, I was not privy to the whole script, so I had no idea what was really happening. And the shooting hours were so long (usually more than 24 hours) that all I was interested in when I got home was sleep and recover for the next rigorous shooting day. LOL
After having seen the two Encantadia episodes, I think that although the fantasy set may have been more exciting costume and blocking wise, I would have preferred, as an actor, the ‘rich house’ set, because it would have meant protection from the elements and more ‘backstage’ space for the actors. Being one of the maids would have been a satisfactory acting experience.
Nevertheless, seeing my name Lorna Lopez on the list of credits, which was usually not done during the regular run of Encantadia on GMA 7 due to lack of time, somehow warms my heart.
