Grease Homage by John Travolta and Olivia Newton John
Grease the musical was immortalized onscreen by John Travolta and Olivia Newton John, who played the titular roles of Danny and Sandy in the film adaptation of the Broadway and West End hit. The couple reunited to create a holiday album, This Christmas, the proceeds of which will go to charities close to their hearts — the John Travolta Foundation (in memory of his son) and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness Centre in Melbourne (by the way, she’s celebrating 20 years of being cancer free).
In the music video of the first single off This Christmas album, I Think You Might Like It, John Travolta and Olivia Newton John pay homage to one of the most popular musical numbers from Grease — You’re The One That I Want — even doing some choreography reminiscent of the sexy and hip-grooving moves they made famous three decades ago.
