The thought of it is lascivious. Lewd. Scandalous.
Director of A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino, Tita Naty Crame Rogers (right), has cast Kenn Cayunda as Tony Javier (center), the charming rogue who seduces Paula into eloping with him. With the pairing of the youthful-looking Kenn Cayunda as Tony and the more mature Florina Castillo as Paula (left), not only will social barriers be broken in the Nick Joaquin play, but the taboo of age as well.
Aside from directing, Tita Naty Crame Rogers will appear as Candida, a role she will portray for the very last time during the limited run of The Philippine Drama Company production. There will only be three performances:
26 October 2012 8pm
27 October 2012 7pm
27 October 2012 7pm
All shows will be at The Philippine Drama Company’s Amingtahanan Sala Theater, located at #40 Stella Maris St., Bo. Kapitolyo, Pasig. For tickets, please contact 0917.3146003. Students with IDs will be given a discount.
Thanks to Gibbs Cadiz for the heads up.
