Lea Salonga Comments on Jessica Sanchez Miss Saigon Casting Rumors
Time for reminiscing. I had so much fun watching the Miss Saigon audition of Lea Salonga again and again. This was after reading the casting rumor that American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez was being considered for the role of Kim in the film adaptation of the Tony and Olivier award winning musical. With regards to that possibility, Lea Salonga commented:
“If [Jessica Sanchez is] the one that they’ve chosen, or she’s somebody in serious consideration, then that’s a good thing,” offered Salonga. “We all know she’s talented, we all know she’s actually quite beautiful.”
