Pasinaya 2012
This has got to be the best deal ever! For a Php 20 entrance fee, one can enjoy, literally, a buffet of arts from film, theater, music and dance (folk/modern/ballet). CCP’s resident companies: Tanghalang Pilipino, Ballet Philippines, Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group, Philippine Madrigal Singers and Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra will all be at the Main Theater (Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo), while the other theaters and areas have been assigned to guest artists from various established companies and schools.
Prominent in the full schedule that I downloaded is Pedro Bukaneg : Dinagyang’s Tribu Lunok of Iloilo City, which is scheduled five times (I’m wondering whether the story is divided into five parts). I’m curious as to what it is because the famous Dinagyang Festival is from Iloilo, while the name Pedro Bukaneg is synonymous with the Ilokano epic Biag ni Lam-ang.
To download the schedule, please visit the Cultural Center of the Philippines website.
Thanks to Gibbs Cadiz for the heads up.
