Cupcakes by Sonja Donates to Philippine National Red Cross

After the Fully Booked 2011 Junior Book Crew graduation on 16 May 2011, my sister offered to treat us to Red Velvet Vixen cupcakes from Cupcakes by Sonja at Serendra. We all trooped to the restaurant where the specialty, of course, is cupcakes.

It’s only my second time to visit the store, and one bite of the Red Velvet Vixen cupcake made me remember why. Even my sweet tooth gave up at the ultra-sweet cream cheese frosting. And, the cupcake itself is not moist enough for me. (I think my taste runs to the cupcakes by Marta Matute.) So, I requested if it could be wrapped for take-out so that someone else may enjoy the very pretty Red Velvet Vixen cupcake.

And, while waiting at the counter, that’s when I saw an excellent reason to buy the Red Velvet Vixen cupcakes. According to a sign, for every Red Velvet Vixen cupcake purchase, Cupcakes by Sonja donates Php 5 to the Rizal Chapter of the Philippine National Red Cross.

They may not be to my taste, but, I will seriously consider buying the Red Velvet Vixen cupcakes as a gift when the occasion calls for it.

Thanks, Carlos! The picture is perfect, showing off the Red Velvet Vixen perfectly while contrasting with the cream cheese frosting; plus, it had the restaurant’s name. :D
