I received a Globe advisory SMS on 25 November 2010:
Send SMS to over 180 destinations worldwide for only Php 0.50 per text! For Php 50, send 100 int’l SMS good for 10 days. Text ITXT 50 to 8888 to register. For list of countries, text ITXT INFO to 8888 for FREE. Till 01/31/11.
After texting ITXT INFO to 8888, I got the following SMS:
Enjoy 100 texts good for 10 days for only Php 50 or 25 texts good for 5 days for only Php 25! Text ITXT 50 or ITXT 25 to 8888. ITXT 50 is open to 190 countries worldwide! Text ITXT US, ITXT EUROPE, ITXT ASIA, ITXT MIDDLE EAST, ITXT AUSTRALIA, ITXT SOUTH AMERICA or ITXT AFRICA to get the list of available countries per continent.
ITXT 25 is open to SINGTEL Singapore, Hong Kong CSL, Taiwan Mobile, Maxis Malaysia, IT&E Guam and Saipan, Optus Australia and CTM Macau. Text ITXT BAL to 8888 for FREE to check status. Till 01/31/11.
Okay, I wanted to clarify what US meant, and it turns out that the whole of the United States is included as well as a bunch of other countries in NORTH AMERICA such as Cuba, Canada, Mexico, etc.
Update: This service has been extended till 30 Sept 2011.

hindi naman middle ang egypt eh…africa yun. marami akong nattxt sa egypt using Globe ITXT 50. baka mali lang ang format ng number, tanggalin mo yung 00 and then add +.
for example, yung number niya ay 0020123456789, gawin mong +20123456789

how can send text abroad? for instance in US, what is the format. I’m kinda new about these. And just wanted to ask why is it that I don’t received some of the text messages from abroad?

i just registered in itxt 50. i carefully read the country list for middle east first. egypt was on the list. but i kept getting “message sending failed”. at first i thought maybe i should have at least 10 remaining regular load but i tried sending messages to usa, canada, singapore, australia, and all my friends got my message. i’m just having trouble with sending to middle east, egypt in particular.

i love ITXT 5O,, it ables me to send international to my fiancee in europe,,,but does it work to uk?i got a friend there too kasi,,and it dodnt work,pls make some clarifications,,,,,bakit hindi included and uk?

it was stated there that u can send int’l txt to UAE!!!!!!!!!!! meaning included dun ang Doha Qatar.. but the thing is, it wont let me!!!!!!! Lecheng GLOBE!!!!!!

nakaregister po ako sa ITXT 50, pero bakit indi ako makasend sa international number ng asawa ko o iba kong friends abroad.
