Base Entertainment Asia (”Jersey Boys”, “Defending the Caveman”) and Singapore Repertory Theatre (”Golden Child”, “Into the Woods”) are holding auditions for Filipino and Singaporean young talents, ages 8 to 13, to fill the roles of young cubs Simba and Nala in the Southeast Asian premiere of Disney Theatrical Group’s “The Lion King”.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 2 p.m. onwards at the Singapore Repertory Theatre, Robertson Walk #02-08, 11 Unity Street, Singapore 237995. Singing and dancing experience is required.
Base Entertainment Asia brings the phenomenal musical to the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore beginning March 2011. The people behind the Company are very much committed to duplicate the original Broadway elements of the show – its hummable pop songs, gorgeous sets, and intricate Bunraku puppet-inspired costumes.
