Short & Sweet Festival Gala Finals On 06 August 2010, during the Short & Sweet Festival Gala Finals at the Esplanade Theatre Studio, my stomach started making sounds. Frantically, I attributed it to the emotional and distressing past few days at work, triggering my hyperacidity.

Although I tried to calm down, my tummy continued to make unpredictable noises that by the second ten minute play, I was in even more agony, wondering if I was going to embarrass myself terribly somehow, which is why, as soon as the lights darkened to mark the end of The Benefit of Friends, I shuffled hurriedly out of the Esplanade Theatre Studio.

December Rains The next night, 07 August 2010, I berated myself for not bringing my glasses to the 8pm performance of December Rains at the Esplanade Theatre, which made reading the English subtitles impossible to read from the very last row in the theatre where I was seated; but, even without knowing the intricacies of the script, I picked up the story line of the original Mandarin musical.

However, it turned out that exhaustion from an emotionally draining week became the culprit in causing me to doze off several times during the first act, leading me to the decision to go home during the intermission.

Definitely, I was sorry not to have been able to finish two exciting theatrical evenings, but, in the face of disturbing fellow theatregorers, I deemed it prudent to leave.

The Snoring Man in Master Class Manila Therefore, I now have the answer to a question I posed earlier about the snoring man in Master Class Manila. He should have taken it upon himself to leave and make arrangements to meet up with his friend after the show rather than repeatedly bothering other audience members.
