CATS Manila Advisory for Latecomers

The show will start on time. Please remember that the Sunday performances are different, time wise, from the other days. And, as proven repeatedly, Metro Manila traffic can be unpredictable, so, leaving just a bit earlier wouldn’t hurt.

Latecomers will be admitted only on the following schedule:

Part I: After 17 minutes into the show, during “The Old Gumbie Cat / Tap Dance Number” for approximately 10 minutes.

This would mean you would have missed the following musical numbers:
# Overture – Orchestra
# Prologue: Jellicle Songs For Jellicle Cats – The Company
# The Naming Of Cats – The Company
# The Invitation To The Jellicle Ball – Victoria, Quaxo, Munkustrap

Near end of the 20 minute interval between Acts 1 and 2 during the Cats Playtime for approximately 5 minutes. Please note that the song of Grizabella, as played by Laurence Olivier and Tony award winner Lea Salonga, whose exclusive participation in the Manila run is probably one of the reasons why you chose to watch CATS in the Philippines, will sing a snippet from the famous song Memory at the end of Act 1, so you’ll most likely miss it if you’re really late.

And, I’d better remember all these since I’m scheduled to watch CATS on 01 August 2010, Sunday, 7.30pm at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
