DBS Harbourfront Credit Card Application (Eye)
I was ill prepared for my DBS Visa credit card application, which had the promo of a 5 year waiver of annual fees. Admittedly, most of it was my fault. First, I waited till the last day of the application for the card, which was 31 May 2010. Second, I glanced at the requirements really quickly and brought the original documents with me without making copies. Third, I did not make sure that I had all the necessary information required on the application form.
Therefore, I had to really ask for the help of DBS Customer Service staffer Ms. Sharon Ng of the Harbourfront branch. She generously acceded to all my requests.
First, Ms. Sharon Ng assured me that she will make sure to fax the necessary application form and supporting documents to the DBS credit card processing office before the end of the banking day of 31 May 2010 to make sure that I will be eligible for the promo.
Second, Ms. Sharon Ng made copies of the required documents, such as the passport, employment pass and pay slip.
Third, Ms. Sharon Ng agreed to look up the correct head office address of Resorts World Sentosa, which, shamefully, I do not have memorized except for the street. In my defense, I will say that I have been to the head office only once, since most of the time I’m at Universal Studios Singapore.
