Metro Remittance Singapore Collection of Original Receipts (Ire)

Metro Remittance Singapore, which I regularly use to transfer money into my BPI Philippines account, would intermittently run a promo wherein upon presentation of three original receipts, one may have a S$1 discount from the S$4 remittance fee.

On 04 May 2010, I presented my January, February and March 2010 receipts to avail of the S$1 discount. However, I was informed that I have to give up the original receipts and be given copies instead.

Of course, I protested and said that Metro Remittance Singapore may have the copies, but, I would keep the original receipts. The staff member called her supervisor, who also told me the same thing, and I repeated that it was a strange policy to demand for the original receipts. I was not willing to surrender them for any discount.

A phone call was made, and, the decision to let me keep my original receipts while still being given my S$1 discount was handed down.

Thank you, Metro Remittance Singapore!

Hi Wilson. I’m sorry, but, you may only redeem a receipt once. Thank you.

Can you use the same receipts to get discount if you go back to remit next time?
