St. Luke’s Dermatology Center Laser Treatment

Being under stage lights five days a week and subjected to the sun version of Singapore, i.e. hotter, caused me to have more freckles and sun spots. The very first thing I did as soon as I arrived in Manila from Singapore on 26 April 2010 was to rush to the St. Luke’s Dermatology Center, where I had scheduled my very first laser treatment with Dr. Lourdes Nebrida

The nurse in attendance (sorry I wasn’t able to get her name) was so kind that she let me sleep on the bed when I explained that I just flew in and needed some shut eye. She even thoughtfully covered me with a blanket and pulled down the blinds from the noon sun.

So with the anesthesia on my face, I dozed off for about an hour and a half. When I awakened, Dr. Nebrida was there with another doctor in attendance, which made me feel even better, and proceeded to laser the sun spots and freckles in less than five minutes.

So I flew off to Boracay with dark lasered spots on my face. Of course, my destination was a matter of concern to my dermatologist. I assured her that I would make sure that I was protected.

Thus, I endured the stares and side comments that my scarf covered face elicited. My sister described me perfectly. She said that I looked like I should be on a wanted poster for having cloth wound around the lower half of my face.

But, it was worth it. When the dark scabs began falling off on the sixth day, I was astounded with the results. The laser treatment did pulverize the sun and light damage. Woot! :D

Hi Bianca. The laser treatment costs are dependent on the area of the body, how much treatment needs to be done, etc. It’s best to go for a consultation with your dermatologist. He/she can estimated the cost BEFORE the laser treatment.
