My Jimmy Choo Shoes Debut and the Barefoot Gentleman

It was love at first sight.
I absolutely had no intention of buying anything from the Jimmy Choo boutique at Paragon Mall on Orchard Road in Singapore, but, one glance did me in. I just had to try them on, those Jimmy Choo red patent leather peep toe five inch heeled sandals.
I didn’t need them. But I wanted them. It was totally capricious to purchase the beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, yet, I did. My very first Jimmy Choo heels, may I add.
On 10 March 2010, I made my debut with the sexy pair via the Chippendales show at the Hard Rock Hotel Sentosa Resorts. Quite fitting, I thought.
However, my ankle and leg muscles, so used to rubber shoes and other forms of flat wear, caved in at some point, so much so that the premise of making the usual five minute walk back to my place from the MRT station was just impossible.
After waiting endlessly for a taxi to come along, my gallant companion, Marvin Tomandao, made a chivalrous offer. He proposed that I wear his rubber shoes while he goes barefoot for the short walk.
Aghast and yet grateful, I accepted his offer. And that’s how I made it back home. With the help of a barefoot gentleman.
THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH!
