Chuckles — The Sexy Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers
While I was ensconced in a cab, I was able to listen to a promo for a Chippendales show at the Hard Rock Hotel in Singapore. Excitedly, I called a friend to invite him to go with me to the famous sexy act.
Hearing the hesitancy in his voice, I cajoled and persuaded him by saying how I’ve always wanted to see such a performance, but, not just the tawdry kind. I also desired to see production values such as music, choreography, light design, etc. to make the experience more enjoyable.
Now, there was confusion in his voice as he queried, “Lorna, the Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers…”
Realizing that he had mixed up Chippendales with the animated characters of Chip ‘N Dale and that he had absolutely no idea about who the group was, I explained how it’s a company of male performers who do strip routines for mainly female audiences.
It is a true mark of friendship that despite his misgivings, he agreed to accompany me to the Chippendales show on 10 March 2010. Yehey!

Hahahahaha! Yikes! I so remember this call. I’m sorry. I only know of the Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers cartoon series from my childhood. Hahahahaha! Anyway, however awkward it had been sitting in an area full of screaming girls, I still have to thank you for ‘adding culture’ to an innocent boy. Hehehe. You had fun. That’s all that matters. (”,)
