Lea Salonga Stirs Audience with Bayan Ko at the Cory SWATCH Launch

As iconic images of Cory Aquino were flashed on the screen and Lea Salonga sang the familiar opening notes to the patriotic song Bayan Ko, it immediately prompted enthusiastic applause from the audience during the launch of the Cory SWATCH.
Lea Salonga’s strong rendition of the beloved melody, coupled with the photos that have inspired the whole world, are a fitting tribute to a woman whose life was dedicated to God, family and country.
The Cory SWATCH launch was held at the Ayala Museum on 25 January 2010, “on the eve of what would have been the late former president’s 77th birthday.”
