SM North EDSA IMAX Theatre Staff Forms Two Lines (Ire)

On 27 December 2009, I hurriedly lined up to get tickets for the first 3D screening of Avatar at the SM North EDSA IMAX Theatre. There were two ticket counters available for the IMAX Theatre patrons, but, only one line snaking from the area.

To my dismay, an IMAX theatre staff member manning the lines started encouraging people to go to the second ticket counter, saying, “Dito. Maikli dito. (The line is short here.)”

Thankfully, only a few clients broke the line to follow his direction. I called him over and requested if he could please not encourage the formation of a second line. Rather, let there be only one line, and whoever is at the head of the line to go to whichever ticket counter is available, as is the usual custom in most movie theaters.
