Barbie in a Christmas Carol Uses Female Characters Galore

Uploaded from Barbie Collectors

I made sure to catch the premiere of Barbie in a Christmas Carol on Cartoon Network on 06 December 2009. The liberal adaptation of the very familiar Charles Dickens book was entrancing to watch, since the expected story line and characters were replaced by unexpected twists, the most pleasant to be the choice of female characters to play all the lead roles.

Therefore, Ebenezer Scrooge became a Barbie ancestor in the form of “Eden Starling, a glamorous singing diva in the Victorian England.” Jacob Marley was Aunt Marie, a very strict aunt who taught Eden that “only the selfish survive.” Bob Cratchit was Catherine Beadnell, Eden’s best friend and employee (costume designer). Tiny Tim is Tammy, a golden voiced orphan. The Spirits Of Christmas Past, Present and Future were ladies as well.
