Fantastic Mr. Fox Film

Video uploaded from Fox Searchlight

I have never read Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox, so, I didn’t know what to expect really, but, perhaps the fact that the film is based on the creator of books such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach should have given me an inkling that things may not proceed as expected.

At some point, I was cringing, wondering whether I would be a witness to a spectacle of massacre and gore, something I have never been comfortable with. Thankfully, it didn’t proceed in that direction. It was a relatively happy ending, with the distinct vocal characterizations of George Clooney and Meryl Streep still beguiling the ear pleasantly after the animated film.
