Fairmont Hotel Singapore Helps Out a Non-Guest (Eye)

On my second day in Singapore, I somehow wandered into the dining room area of Fairmont Hotel in my search for Fitness First on One George St. When my query regarding its location was met with polite replies of “I don’t know,” I was directed to the concierge in the lobby.

After consultation with the computer, the Fairmont Hotel staff member gave me directions, and, even printed out the details for me! Please note that I was not a guest at the hotel, but, was merely a lost person in need of help.

Moreover, another Fairmont Hotel Singapore staff member kindly pointed out the direction of the MRT where I was supposed to take the train to another station.

Thank you very much, Fairmont Hotel Singapore staff! :D

    Dear Bachelor Girl,

What a pleasant surprise to hear about our concierge service at the Fairmont Singapore! It brings me great joy to know that our colleagues continue to assist our guests–whether they are hotel residents or our local Singaporean friends. All too often, people are quick to criticize–it’s just so nice to hear a bit of praise! Thank you for taking the time to write about us, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel.

Best Regards and a friendly Fairmont wave!

Omygawsh, Lorna! You were in Singapore just recently too? I was there from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2 for work/training and a quick vacation with the family.

Too bad we didn’t cross paths while there, eh?

And I grew to know that Singaporeans are extremely friendly and helpful people. I like. :)
