BPI Deposit through Metro Remittance Singapore (Eye)

A BPI representative introduced their latest product for OFWs called BPInoy card during the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar or PDOS at the PASEI offices on 12 October 2009. I was quite thankful that they did so because when I inquired in my BPI Cubao branch, they were not sure whether there were any remittance centers in Singapore. Through the BPI presentation, it turned out that there are two locations, and both of them are on the third floor of Lucky Plaza on Orchard.

By virtue of its location at the top of the escalator as one goes up, I headed into Metro Remittance Singapore Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Metrobank Philippines, where, for S$4, one can send any amount to any BPI account in the Philippines, which will be credited after 2-3 banking days.

Moreover, when I went on 05 November 2009, the whole staff was composed of Filipinos, which made it easier to communicate one’s confusion since it was my first time to do a remittance.

Maybe I’ll try the other remittance center in the future, but, as of the moment, I am very happy with the helpful staff at Metro Remittance Singapore. Thank you! :D
