Patrick Swayze Passes Away at 57

The actor who has swayed generations to its feet with his Dirty Dancing stint and has sent romantic hearts fluttering with his performance in Ghost, has succumbed to pancreatic cancer at the age of 57 on 14 September 2009.

The rep of Patrick Swayze generously shares the fact that “he died with his family by his side.” Bauer Griffin reports that the beloved actor is “survived by his wife Lisa Niemi, to whom he was married for 34 years.”
