Burger King Increases Pampering Service (Eye)

On a 04 August 2008 post I listed the new Burger King freebies such as the “free WiFi, free charging for technical gadgets from mobile phones to iPods to game consoles (PSS, Game Boy and Nintendo) along with the free viewing of movies and music videos, but the piece de resistance was the free massage from a roving therapist.”

Although I appreciated the customer oriented changes, I also voiced the concern that such improvements may not be maintained during the course of Burger King’s existence in the Philippines. “I still remember with great displeasure when Burger King stopped the free refill stations in the customer area.”

However, I am glad to report that during two visits to Burger King Robinsons Place Manila on 17 and 19 August 2009, more or less a year after my previous visit, not only did Burger King maintain its services, but, they INCREASED it.

Now, they have crew members identified as ACES, which is an acronym for qualities such as Aptitude Committed Expert Service, who go around the store making sure that the customer is being pampered. Extra services such as bringing glasses of water, offering wet tissues and candies, are now part of the Burger King experience.

Furthermore, the teams headed by Manager Racquel Co at Burger King Robinsons Place Manila on 17 and 19 August 2009 were excellent as they showed alertness and commitment to their jobs with their great focus, from acknowledging customers’ assertions such as being next in line contrary to other clients who are trying to cut into the line to clearing the tables immediately after the customers exit.

I just had to take manager Ms. Racquel Co aside and compliment her on the wonderful job that the crew was displaying.
