Sam Concepcion from Voice Talent to Narrator in Trumpets N.O.A.H.

Sam Concepcion lent his voice to give life to one of the sons of Noah in the Trumpets puppet production Noah’s Big Boat. I became intimately knowledgeable with every nuance of his voice since I was the puppet handler of Japeth, the character that Sam Concepcion did, while Gary Valenciano and Bituin Escalante played Mr. and Mrs. Noah.

Although Sam Concepcion found the experience “enjoyable,” he added that it was “not the same as performing on stage.”

With the live version of the Trumpets production of N.O.A.H. — an acronym for No Ordinary Aquatic Habitat — Sam Concepcion will have the opportunity to do what he loves — performing onstage as the Narrator. Playing Mr. and Mrs. Noah are theater veterans Carlo Orosa and Sheila Francisco, while director, scriptwriter and actor Jaime del Mundo will take on the directorial duties once again to bridge the transition from puppet play to musical theatre.

So set sail with Sam in N.O.A.H., which opens at the Meralco Theater on 04 September 2009 and will run till 27 September 2009.
