Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Made Me Choke Up
I knew what was going to happen. I had read the book numerous times. Yet when the time came, I was still taken by surprise by its sudden occurrence as if I were ignorant of the fact.
The emotional impact of it was so pervasive that I was a wrung out limp rag reading the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film credits as it rolled.
Afterwards, I sat on the Gateway – Ali Mall shuttle with a quiet patience as I listened to the driver explain that we have to wait for the rain to abate before proceeding.
And, as I waited, I watched with quiet fascination the trickle of falling and dripping rainwater on 16 July 2009, a fitting tribute to a turning point of the Harry Potter series.
