The Indispensable Michael Jackson

“No one is indispensable.”
This saying in theatre is almost a cautionary tale by itself. Although the world of theatre has born unforgettable performances by legendary actors, they have all considered themselves dispensable in the sense that they knew that the tradition of continuity will mean someone will understudy their roles, and, will, eventually, take over that role.
Or, in a worst case scenario, which has also happened in Philippine theatre, when death suddenly takes an actor/s, the show must still go on and replacements will be found and trained, even at short notice.
In the case of Michael Jackson, however, he is truly INDISPENSABLE, and the show cannot go on without him.
