PJ Valerio looked like a clumsy 13 year old rather than an ambitious 19 year old with the world at his feet. Julia Abueva has a good enough voice but tended to border on melodramatic. Jake Macapagal did a decent enough job as Gallo although he faltered a bit vocally on a couple of songs. PJ was dependable in his role as the Mute, weaving in and out of hte scenes. the set was adequate although i didn't quite get the usefulness of the projectors because the projection got lost in the lighting except in one scene of flowers and leaves. Miguel Faustmann was awesome although I mistook him for Jaime Fabregas in the first 5 minutes of his stage entrance. Red Concepcion as Mortimer was funny although his creative decisions were the usual ones in Philippine acting (the comic over the top gay sidekick). The wonders of the night belonged to the two dads. Jaime and Dido presented enough humanity in their respective roles without being too human. For me, it appeared that the whole play anchored around them.
