Regenerating Star Trek
Coupling Star Trek with laughter was something completely unexpected from the sci-fi franchise. I found myself smiling widely as familiar beloved characters are reborn into new actors, chuckling at an obscure homage for Star Wars, giggling at the feud between James Kirk and Spock, and laughing out loud at the numerous instances of action comedy and one-liners.
I think I even have a crush on Zachary Quinto as Spock, who delineated the character beautifully, and, definitely held his own in all his scenes with the “original” Spock himself — Leonard Nimoy
I’m just so relieved that my decision to watch Star Trek right after being so disappointed with the predictable story line of Wolverine turned out to be an excellent one.
Congratulations to J.J. Abrams and his creative team! Well done! You have brought Star Trek boldly where it has never gone before!
