Extreme Gaming Grounds Mall of Asia & the Lost Jackets (Ire)

The Front of Desk Staff Improper Handling of Lost Items After waiting for almost 45 minutes on 19 May 2009, I finally got to speak with Extreme Gaming Grounds Mall of Asia manager Cathy Ubasa regarding the front of desk staff’s improper handling of lost items.

I pointed out that the staff did not know the whereabouts of the two lost items that they had already admitted to having seen in the behind the desk area the previous day. I found it strange that they were asking us to call the next day since the employee who allegedly found the said items was on leave.

The Lost Items Protocol Earlier, I had already asked Extreme Gaming Grounds Mall of Asia Supervisor Len Baptista whether they had a protocol regarding lost items, and, she informed me that employees were required to log any items found in the premises on a journal.

At this point, one of the lost items had been found, yet it was discovered that it was not listed on the journal, increasing the probability that the second item was not listed as well.

Following the Lost Items Protocol I reminded Extreme Gaming Grounds Mall of Asia manager Cathy Ubasa that following the protocol allows any employee of the firm to be able to return any lost item to the client without the need for consulting the employee who found it.

I also recounted the front of desk’s attitude regarding my insistence on finding out what happened by getting in touch with the employee. They were so ill-prepared for the occurrence that they resorted to ignoring me, thus, necessitating the talk with the supervisor and manager.

Arrangements for the Return of the Lost Jacket I also informed Ms. Ubasa that we were only in the area for the past two days because of an event, and, coming back to the SM Mall of Asia for the jacket would be a great inconvenience.

Arrangements were made for the jacket to be delivered to Netopia SM Megamall, a sister branch, once the jacket has been located.

Thank you very much to the Extreme Gaming Grounds Mall of Asia staff members for their kind consideration.
