SingTel Singapore Charges Both Caller and Recipient

The great thing with SingTel is that after every call or SMS sent, a free advisory is displayed showing the balance or promotion that’s currently being offered, for example, ‘For every local 10 SMS sent get 30 free.’

Through this service, I noticed that after every time that somebody called me, my balance would be lower, which meant that I’m being charged for received calls.

Thus lies the incentive for both caller and recipient to end the call as quickly as possible. Belatedly, another Filipino told me that StarHub, another telecommunications company, does not charge for received calls. *sigh*
