Metrobank P. Tuazon Slow Service (Ire)
56 minutes of waiting for a 45 second transaction. And that’s already a huge improvement after somebody else talked to the manager about the slow service (a rare occurrence for me).
Slow Change of Number I received the #1 as my indicator as to when I’ll be served at the Metrobank P. Tuazon branch on 13 April 2009.
#71 was being served when I arrived to pay for a credit card bill. Yet after ten minutes the number didn’t change even with the presence of four tellers.
I approached a Metrobank guard to inquire as to what is the maximum number that can be reached before it goes back to #1. He said the maximum was #99.
So I approached a Metrobank officer to inquire which other bank accepts Metrobank credit card payments in the Cubao area. I found out that my other alternative is the PS Bank on 15th Ave, a tricycle ride away in the blistering heat.
I decided to stay and sleep while waiting.
A Pleasant Surprise To my pleasant surprise, the person beside me seemed to have been moved by my inquiries so she started a conversation with other clients regarding the slow service.
Eventually, she spoke with the manager, after which the service picked up.
And that was how I got to the teller in 56 minutes for a 45-second transaction, which could have been much longer if that lady hadn’t spoken up. Thank you!
