Wicked Witch of the West Pregnant with First Baby
Us Magazine has an exclusive interview with Tony Award winning actress Idina Menzel where she talks about husband-actor Taye Diggs continuously bringing up the subject of children.
[Idina] said Diggs has been ready for kids since “the day I met him.”
“He wouldn’t talk about marriage, but he’d talk about me having his children,” she told Us. “He’s always wanted kids. He grew up with four younger brothers and sisters, so he’s very comfortable around children.”
The interracial couple have been together for a total of 13 years, waiting seven years before deciding to tie the knot, a decision that unexpectedly elicited racial conflict when death threats were sent through hate letters to Idina Menzel.
Nevertheless, she continued performing in the musical Wicked as Elphaba, a role she originated on Broadway. To protect the Wicked star, security was tightened at the theater.
Idina Menzel is also known for playing the role of Maureen in the groundbreaking musical Rent, where she met future husband Taye Diggs. However, many will probably know her as McDreamy’s fiancée, Nancy Tremaine, from the Disney film Enchanted, where she starred opposite Oscar nominee Amy Adams.
Idina Menzel is expected to give birth later this year.
Update: Idina Menzel has given birth to a baby boy, Walker, and, their reps have stated that “mother, father and son are all doing well.”

I LOVE YOU IDINA!!!! im sooooooo happy for her and Taye…….Whoever wrote hate letters about idina are JEALOUS because she is the real deal!!! that baby has some lucky parents. I bet he/she will have a talent like theirs!!!!!!!! I really want to see a concert of hers people say there AMAZING….. obviously your listening to IDINA MENZEL!!!!!!!!!! IDINAFAN101…….

Oh my god, that baby will look so adorable and cute and talented and all the other beautiful things combined!! I love you Idina, and wicked and rent were soooooo good, saw them both on broadway!! You rock too Taye!! Hope the baby’s beautiful.

OMG!!!!!!! She is Pregnant!!!!!!! I love her so much I am so happy for her and Taye!!!! Oh my God!!!! Their baby is gonna be the cutest most beautiful baby in the world because it will have the most amazingly beautiful and talented parents in the world!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Idina and Taye!!!! I was totally amazed with her talent when I saw Rent. And have always wanted to fly off to NY to catch her in Wicked.
