Tessa Prieto-Valdes Attends Spelling Bee Manila Preview

Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Tessa Prieto-Valdes watched the Spelling Bee Manila Preview on 19 March 2009 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium with Project Runway Philippines judge designer Rajo Laurel.

With an admitted “fear” for spelling, Tessa Prieto-Valdes found herself having a flashback of “having to spell the word “tomorrow” and misspelling it in front of the class” while watching the Tony Award winning musical.

This upsetting episode has prevented the popular socialite from accepting the invitation of Spelling Bee Manila Director Bobby Garcia to becoming one of the featured celebrity guest spellers.

Spelling Bee offers a unique theatre experience wherein each show has two celebrity and two audience guest spellers. Each show is truly different from the other as actors Cathy Azanza and Joel Trinidad change their lines to suit the guest spellers for each particular show.

Spelling Bee is now on its second week and will run till 04 March 2009 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Building, Makati.
