Sofitel Spiral Restaurant Female Servers Crotch High Side Slits (Ire)
While waiting for the driver to arrive, I managed to chat for a bit with Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila’s Assistant Front Office Manager, Darwn Labayandoy, and share my observations regarding the Spiral Restaurant where I was graciously invited for a buffet breakfast by Ms. Stella Sison on 24 March 2009.
Sir, it’s my first time at the Spiral Restaurant, and I’d like to give a suggestion, if I may? I had a wonderful time at the Spiral restaurant. Your female servers, wearing the lime green floor length dresses, are gorgeous and have a professional demeanor, but, their side slits are crotch high. One lady server even had the dark band of her stockings showing.
At Mr. Labayandoy’s remark that maybe it was just that particular female server, I corrected his impression.
No, I think she’s the only one wearing stockings with dark bands (fyi, there are stockings without dark bands or whose dark bands are panty-shaped so that they’re not seen with short dresses or thigh baring dresses). But, I observed at least three of your female servers, and all their slits at the side are crotch high, which is in direct contrast with a lady I saw here at the lobby wearing a dark long skirt whose slit is only mid-thigh.
Mr. Labayandoy commented that the female staff member with the dark long skirt was probably on her way inside one of the offices on the hotel’s lobby level.
At this point, I had to leave because the van was already waiting, but, I’d like to add, Mr. Labayandoy, regarding one more point regarding the importance of making an impression of being a professional.
I think the female servers at the Spiral Restaurant will look more professional if their crotch high side slits can be lowered to the same mid-thigh high side slits of their office counterparts.
Yes, I must agree that the female servers should show enough skin to tantalize the clients, but, not so high that it may scandalize them or lead their thoughts to prurient ones, which makes it harder for the female staff of Sofitel to do their job, since their professionalism is diminished with a uniform that is akin to establishments of lesser repute.

I would love to have the opportunity to be tantalized, scandalized, and my thoughts led to more prurient ones. =) The language sounds more appetizing than the restaurant. Yummy!
On a serious note, I agree with your comment. I also have the same concern in other restaurants where I can’t get my eyes to stop looking at these waitresses in the first place, then to have them wear such an exotic attire drives my mind wild! I go there to eat the food, but then I am the one to be eaten with passion and desire.
The management should consider the atmosphere of such attire and consider the necessity of such revealing apparel.

i actually am not bothered by the fact that these sexy, gorgeous ladies have crotch-high slits. its great! thats one of the reasons i love going to Spiral.
What bothers me is why they have to wear panties. I think just stockings without panties would be much better.March 25th, 2009 at 2:27 pm
I do agree with you regarding the slit. For a 5 star hotel…professional uniform is a must. That is why it is called uniform…..all the same, even the size of slit.
It is also very awkward for a client to see a slit all the way to the crotch while eating or being served.
And i also think it is very uncomfortable for the female server to move with that high slit.
