SM Megamall Supermarket and the Forgotten Toothbrushes (Ire)
After I signed the credit card paperwork and pocketed the receipt on 23 March 2009, I prepared to get my lone SM Megamall Supermarket grocery bag. And then I noticed the Colgate toothbrushes at the very edge of the silver framework.
At this point the cashier was already shuttling the next customer’s groceries onto the counter, and were being pushed in my direction.
Since I wasn’t sure whether the toothbrush pack was mine, I opened my grocery bag to check its contents. True enough, the Php 176 toothbrush pack I had already paid for was not inside.
I tucked it in, and then tapped the grocery bagger, who was now servicing another counter, to inform him to be more careful because he forgot to include a paid for grocery item in the plastic bag.

I had this encounter with a cashier of SM supermarket Megamall branch.. Actually, the BIG CART lane and BLUE BASKET lane are separated for the convenience of the customers.. What I can’t understand is that the Blue basket lanes had very long lines while BIG CART lanes didn’t have much. So I decided to fall in line in the big cart lane..What really made me pissed of was that cashier told me that she wouldn’t gonna entertain us.. Whew! For what? No big carts are following us! Other counters entertained blue baskets and without baskets as well. Why couldn’t she? SM SUPERMARKET MEGAMALL! I know that that you have your purpose for segregating those lanes.. I know the management won’t set the rule as just for the “cart lane coding ” only.. It would be for the convenience of customers who buy few items to be entertained quickly. That’s the logic! And to the manager who told me the reason about that you are just following the rule of HENRY SY, pls study again the rule and its purpose! Your service s–ks!!!
