The film that made pottery making a sensual act will soon be adapted into a musical that will have its opening on London’s West End in 2010.

Variety reports, “Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and Glen Ballard, the songwriter-producer whose credits include Alanis Morissette’s breakout album “Jagged Little Pill,” will collaborate on the music and lyrics, while Bruce Joel Rubin will adapt the book from his own screenplay, for which he won an Oscar.

“Brit director Matthew Warchus (”Boeing-Boeing,” “Art”), whose upcoming Broadway productions include “God of Carnage” and “The Norman Conquests,” helms.”

Aside from winning the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, the film, which starred Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, earned another Oscar for one of its actors — Whoopi Goldberg for Best Supporting Actress.
