Virgin Labfest Reading Kung Paano Maghiwalay Gets Staged

Five time Palanca and Centennial Literary Prize winner George de Jesus is staging his play Kung Paano Maghiwalay at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines A. Mabini Campus and Teatrino Greenhills.

Kung Paano Maghiwalay was seen last year as a staged reading during the Virgin Labfest 2008 as a one-act play. For the full staging, director and playwright George de Jesus has written an additional act to encompass his vision of a creative narrative that follows the rhythm of the five stages of death — denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance, as well as the five stages of love — attraction, romance, passion, intimacy and commitment.
