Chuckles — Ali Mall is a Real Mall
Since the official Tag Heuer repair shop is in Ali Mall at the Araneta Center Cubao, a friend with a broken watch asked me to accompany her.
As we walked through the newly renovated marbled hallways and much improved interiors, she couldn’t help exclaiming, “Totoo na siyang mall!” (It’s a real mall now!)
And, I couldn’t fault her observation, since the very first mall of the Philippines has definitely been showing its wear and tear over the decades and was in desperate need of a facelift.
As we settled down in Starbucks Ali Mall to wait for the diagnosis of her Tag Heuer watch, my friend even added, “O, pwede na tayong magkita dito ng barkada.” (Hey, we can meet up with other friends here now.)
