Repertory Philippines Opens 2009 Season with Portrait of the Artist as Filipino

The Nick Joaquin classic — Portrait of the Artist as Filipino — opened last night, 16 January 2009, to an enraptured audience. Renowned actor-director Jose Mari Avellana directed the Repertory Philippines production at the request of Tita Baby Barredo.

Irma Adlawan — Marasigan and Ana Abad Santos alternate in the role of Candida Marasigan, while Liesl Batucan plays Paula Marasigan.
