Cibo Gateway Mall Gives Me a Limoncello Cake (Eye)
When I met a couple of friends for dinner at Cibo Gateway Mall last 14 January 2009, I was disconcerted to find that most of the members of the wait staff were unfamiliar to me. Of course, since the Gateway Mall branch is a training ground of sorts for the Cibo staff, some of them get assigned to another Cibo branch after a certain period; however, there were always at least three waiters whom I would recognize.
When I asked the new headwaiter, Erwin, regarding the whereabouts of the former wait staff, I was saddened but elated to hear that they have found employment abroad.
Furthermore, the Cibo staff proved to be service oriented so that before he vacated his position as headwaiter, Paul left instructions about the regular customers of Cibo Gateway Mall, which, fortunately, included me.
At the end of our meal, I was pleasantly surprised when I was presented with a Limoncello Cake, a gift for the regular customers of Cibo Gateway Mall. Thank you to the Cibo management and wait staff (both former and present)!

This is a nice way for customer retention. Loyal customers should be valued…Let me try out Cibo next time I see one…
