Trumpets Joseph the Dreamer Celebrates 20th Year Anniversary

Award winning director and playwright Freddie Santos once again restages the beloved Joseph the Dreamer to celebrate its 20th year anniversary. The prolific director promises stunning innovation to the classic tale of forgiveness despite betrayal and triumph over tragedy.
The perennial favorite musical will star Franco Laurel as Joseph, a role that has been essayed by Gary V and Audie Gemora, and, whose performance has been described as “alert, boyish and possessed of a sweet tenor” by Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Franco Laurel will be flanked in the groundbreaking musical by Sheila Francisco — the first Filipina to ever perform in the prestigious Olivier Theater on West End London, Ms. Saigon alumnus Analin Bantug and West Side Story’s Anita Pam G.
The all-important roles of Joseph’s brothers have been culled from both the old and new batches, and, will feature GMA talent PJ Valerio, who was last seen in the STAGES and Trumpets Playshop production of Disney’s High School Musical and Repertory Philippines musical Altar Boyz.
Joseph the Dreamer will have three limited shows at the premier SM Megamall Cinema 4 on 30 January 8pm and 31 January 3pm & 8pm 2009.
Tickets are available at all SM TicketNet outlets. For ticket inquiries, call 911.5555. You can also buy tickets at Trumpets Musicademy, level 5, Shangri-la Plaza mall, beside Cravings and Coffee Beanery. Call 631.7252 for inquiries.
