Carefree Panty Shield G-String Disappearance Feedback (Eye)

Disappearance of the Carefree Panty Shield G-String When I read Apples-Pie’s post about the Carefree thong pantiliner, I was relieved that someone was also concerned about its disappearance. I was not a lone consumer in search of the elusive fuchsia pink colored box. So I decided on 27 February 2008 to investigate the matter.

My Email to Johnson & Johnson Philippines Consumer Service Centre

Dear Sir/Madam:

We have noted the absence of the Carefree thong pantiliners for several months now. May we know if this is permanent and the product line will be discontinued, or, you are currently experiencing a shortage, in which case, we can look forward to the return of the Carefree thong pantiliners? If it’s the latter, may we know the estimate date regarding its return to the grocery shelves?

We would really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Regards,
Lorna Lopez

Dear Ms. Lopez:

Thank you for your recent email correspondence regarding CAREFREE* Panty Shields G-String.

Unfortunately, CAREFREE* Panty Shields G-String has been delisted from our range. Despite favorable experience, the demand for this product in recent times has been extremely low which has resulted in retailers deleting it from their range on shelf. As a consequence, it became necessary for us to discontinue marketing this product.

We understand that you will naturally be disappointed as a result of this decision and we apologize because at the moment there is no appropriate alternative product.

Should you wish to discuss this matter further or have other concerns about our products, please contact the Consumer Service Centre on (632) 822-5538 or on 00 800 888 111 00 (free call from land line) between 08:00 AM and 05:00 PM or send us email at cssph@jnjph.jnj.com.

We assure you of our best attention at all times.

Yours sincerely,
JOHNSON & JOHNSON (PHILIPPINES) INC.

SMS Exchange with Carefree Senior Brand Manager I also left my mobile number, which was forwarded to Ms. Trina Tanlapco, the senior brand manager for Carefree, who was kind enough to add an explanation via SMS.

“Unfortunately, it’s permanent for now because it became too expensive to import from Columbia, but we are looking into a nearer source by next year. You can still find our last stocks in Watson’s.

“Thanks very much for taking time to feedback. I’ll really try to fast track reintroducing the G-string this year.”

Thank you, Ms. Trina Tanlapco!!!

I thought I’m the only one looking for this product. Thanks for posting Lorna. Anyway, I went to Watson’s Megamall branch a while ago and there weren’t any stocks.

Did anyone of you notice that they changed the absorbent material of the Carefrees? They bunch up now unlike before.
