Internet’s Lovely Surprises
For the past several weeks, I’ve been privileged to have experienced the kindness of the Internet denizens. It’s just so lovely when you go online and there’s a wonderful surprise waiting for you, or, as you’re online, something pops on your screen that makes your brain freeze with disbelief, such as this first surprise.
Jeff Marx Thank goodness my Gmail was open when an email from Jeff Marx, one of the composers and lyricists of Avenue Q, appeared on the screen. This meant that I was able to respond immediately to his email, and thus ensued an exchange of a couple of emails since Jeff Marx was still online.
Happy Slip Another astonishing surprise was to receive an email invite from Team Yehey to attend the Meet and Greet of Christine Gambito, otherwise known as YouTube sensation Happy Slip.
It was truly a pleasure to meet such a gracious and accommodating lady who was so very kind to everyone.
Photo Credit A big thank you to Fritz Tentativa for snapping shots of people’s reactions, and letting me use his picture of me. If it looks like I was entranced and charmed by Christine, it’s because I was. To put it simply, Happy Slip made me happy.
Gibbs Cadiz Then, there’s blogger Gibbs Cadiz, whose post “Welcome, Initiates!” floored me early in the morning.
Internet Surprises With surprises like these, the Internet experience becomes even more fulfilling and heartwarming.
