Valentine’s Week Manila Shows I’d Like to Watch
If I had the budget, or the power to be in two places at once, or the energy to brave the crowds and the traffic, these are the Manila shows I would like to catch during Valentine’s week, which I have personally defined as the period from 09 to 16 February 2008.
Sitti… So This is Love at Music Museum I would like to understand the allure of Sitti, and to find out how Jon Santos’s comic talents will blend with that of the popular chanteuse on 09 February 2008 9pm at Music Museum.
Ol4Luv at Araneta Coliseum Four talented singers in one night, two of them former lovebirds, namely Christian Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go, accompanied by Erik Santos and Sarah Geronimo, at the Araneta Coliseum on 13 February 2008 8pm sound promising.
Katrina Halili at Serve Disco Bar FHM hottie and Marimar mainstay Katrina Halili promises a fashion show with her wearing her soon to be launched lingerie line at Serve Disco Bar located at the Coliseum Circle on 14 February 2008. I’m wondering how one can sustain a one-woman show with just modeling, or will there be other acts?
Connie Francis The Greatest Hits Show at Araneta Coliseum Legendary singer Connie Francis will sing her greatest hits, which implies that she will be crooning from 8pm till several hours thereafter since her career spans several decades. The Connie Francis The Greatest Hits Show will be at Araneta Coliseum on Valentine’s Day 14 February 2008.
One Purr… Fect Kitty Night at Metro Bar I caught one of the videos of the Kitty Girls, a local counterpart of the international girl group Pussycat Dolls, and have been curious ever since about their live performance abilities. The five ladies will have a 8pm show at the Metro Bar in West Avenue Quezon City on 15 February 2008. Guests are Derek Ramsay, Show Boys, Chris Cayzer and Pokwang.
Zeries at 25 Zsa Zsa Padilla at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Zsa Zsa Padilla will have four shows at the Captain’s Bar in Mandarin Oriental Hotel on 02, 09, 15 and 16 9pm. Daughter Karylle will be Zsa Zsa’s guest for all four shows, with different singers being invited for each night such as Pops Fernandez, Regine Velasquez, Kuh Ledesma and Gary Valenciano. However, I like the concept of Basil Valdez as being her guest best on 15 February 2008.
Repertory Philippines Hamlet at Onstage Greenbelt To wipe away the sticky residue of Valentine inspired love, a good dose of alleged incest and rape, with death, mayhem and destruction thrown in seems to be in order on 16 February 2008 8pm at Onstage Greenbelt with Repertory Philippines debut run of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
